A Letter of Commendation from the school and the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC®), which conducts the annual program, will be presented to these talented seniors.
About 34,000 Commended Students across the nation are being honored this year for their exceptional academic promise, as demonstrated by their outstanding performance on the 2024 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®).
“These students represent a valuable national resource,” commented a spokesperson for NMSC. “Recognizing their accomplishments, as well as the key role their schools play in their academic development, is vital to the advancement of educational excellence in our nation. We hope that this recognition will help broaden their educational opportunities and encourage them as they continue their pursuit of academic success.”
Immaculate Heart President Maureen Diekmann expressed pride in the students’ achievements, saying, “We are happy to celebrate these students as they continue our legacy of academic excellence.”
For more than a century, Immaculate Heart has fostered young women of great heart and right conscience, students who turn their passions into purpose and know where they stand.
