Las Vegas (KSNV) — Make the Road Nevada, the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and Nevada State University are collaborating to host a scholarship workshop for immigrant families on Thursday, January 30.
The event will take place at the CCSD Family Support Center in Las Vegas from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Each year, around 100,000 undocumented students graduate from high schools across the United States.
However, many face significant financial barriers when pursuing higher education due to high tuition costs.
TheDream.US scholarship aims to alleviate these challenges by providing crucial support to low-income minority individuals, particularly women, helping them to build a brighter future and contribute to the economy.

The workshop will provide information about TheDream.US National Scholarship, which offers up to $39,000 in financial assistance for undocumented students interested in enrolling at Nevada State University, UNLV, or other program partners.
TheDream.US is recognized as the most comprehensive national scholarship program for undocumented individuals, DACA, and TPS students.
Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and gain insights into the scholarship, the college application process, and available resources for undocumented students.
Recruiters from both universities will be present to assist students with on-site applications.
For more information, individuals can visit www.thedream.us
Applications for the scholarship are open until February 28.
