Foundation reaches goal for Sluganski Memorial Scholarship
The Baldwin-Whitehall Education Foundation has reached its $75,000 capital endowment campaign goal for the Officer Sean Sluganski Memorial Scholarship.
Uplifting that the BWEF reached the milestone on his actual birthday: Oct. 29.
This means the annual scholarship will now be funded in perpetuity by the accrual generated off of the principal ($75K), without touching the principal. Contributions can still be made in the future, and those contributions will only enhance the value of the scholarship.
Additionally, the foundation held a special event to raise money for the memorial scholarship fund on Sept. 29 at South Hills Country Club. It raised nearly $17,000 and more than 240 people attended.
