Indian Valley Vocational Center honored several student during their annual awards night held on April 29 and May 1 on the campus of Waubonsee Community College in Sugar Grove. Hundreds of family members and friends of IVVC students were in attendance for the ceremony, which honored graduating seniors, presented scholarships, and recognized achievements in career and technical education.

Scholarships were awarded to several students, including Irene Isitt from Plano High School, who received the George D. Murphy Memorial, and Vincent Espinoza from Plano High School, who received the William D. Francis Memorial. Other scholarships included the Student Service Award for Somonauk High School’s Gavin Lorentzen and the Richard Wasson Memorial awarded to Sandwich High School’s Jocelyn Carr.
