The class of 2024 at InspireNOLA schools has announced that their graduates received a record-breaking $85 million in scholarships.
Between Eleanor McMain Secondary School, McDonogh 35 High School and Edna Karr High School, the graduates have a 96% college acceptance rate.
InspireNOLA says many of the graduates completed certifications and licenses in phlebotomy, medical assisting, cosmetology, hospitality and tourism management, business retail, and Adobe Creative Suite.
Tyler Baeza from McMain Secondary School, Damon Butler from McDonogh 35 High School and Leah Peters from Edna Karr High School are valedictorians for the schools.
Baeza will be attending the University of San Francisco, Butler will be attending Howard University and Peters will be attending the New Orleans Culinary and Hospitality Institutes.
Salutatorians for the three schools are Jamari Wilson from McMain Secondary School, Imani Brock from McDonogh 35 High School and Antanay Lee from Edna Karr.
Wilson will be attending Howard University, Brock is attending Texas Southern University and Lee will be attending Southern University.
