IPSWICH — Ken Bates, the Commodore of the Ipswich Bay Yacht Club, has announced and “enthusiastically congratulates” this year’s recipients of the club’s annual college scholarships.
Two of the recipients, Avery Brown and Charlie Quimby, are graduates of Ipswich High School.
Brown plans to attend University of Tampa to study Criminology and minor in law and psychology.
Quimby plans to attend Fordham University to study business with a focus on environmental science to help corporations transition to sustainable practices.
The other scholarship recipient, Colleen Kielbania, graduated from Essex Tech. She plans to attend the University of Arkansas where she will major in poultry science.
