Isabella Floyd (pictured) has been selected as the 2025 recipient of the Arkansas Eastman Trust Scholarship.
Floyd, a graduate of Batesville High School, is attending the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, where she is a member of the Honors Program. She is pursuing a pre-med track in exercise science with minors in biology and psychology.
The daughter of Nicole and Thomas Floyd, Isabella is the 104th student to receive the scholarship, which has awarded more than $200,000 to local students since its establishment in 1993. The program supports students pursuing careers in math or science-related fields.
The Arkansas Eastman Trust was created in part to honor the memory of Arkansas Eastman employees Nathan Casteel, William Schirmer, Randy Wood, and retired president M.L. Gernert and his wife, Marian, who died in a 1990 plane crash. A scholarship committee composed of FutureFuel Chemical Company employees and community representatives selects recipients each year based on academic achievement, field of study, and contributions to school and community.
