Tim Wiseman, a 1991 alumnus of Indiana State University, has given $150,000 in support of scholarships, the university announced Tuesday.
Wiseman’s gift will fully endow four scholarships that have yet to hit the minimum level to endow a scholarship, increasing their endowment level above $25,000. Additionally, his gift created two new endowed scholarship, the school said in a news release.
“Thanks to Tim’s generosity, more Indiana State University students will now have access to vital funds to pursue their education within several in-demand industries, said Mike Godard, ISU president.
After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in business management, Wiseman dedicated his 32-year career to working with Advanced Drainage Systems, one of North America’s largest plastic recycling groups, before retiring in July 2024.
During his time at Indiana State University, Wiseman was a member and two-time president of Pi Kappa Alpha.
“It’s important to invest your time into what helped you succeed. I credit my success to Indiana State and Pi Kappa Alpha, and I wanted to give back to students facing financial barriers,” said Wiseman.
Wiseman is supporting four scholarships: the Alumni Scholarship in Teaching, the James A. Woodard Community Service Award, the Joseph L. Quinn Memorial Scholarship, and the Pi Kappa Alpha Alumni Scholarship.
In addition to contributing to these scholarships, Wiseman has also established two of his own: the Wiseman Technology Scholarship Pi Kappa Alpha members who major in construction management and the Pi Kappa Alpha Faith-Centered Life Award for ΠΚΑ members who recognize the centrality of faith in building a life with meaning.
