Indiana University South Bend is increasing scholarship support to incoming first-time freshmen through the Titan Scholarships and the launch of a new Titan Transfers Scholarship for incoming transfer students.
To receive the Titan Scholarships, eligible first-time freshmen need to submit their admission application to IU South Bend and be admitted to the university by the extended date of March 15, 2025. Eligible transfer students need to complete their application and be fully admitted by June 15, 2025. Interested students should apply for enrollment.
“We know how important it is for students to have the resources they need to achieve their education and career goals. That’s why we’re making support available to new students on the IU South Bend campus,” said Interim Deputy Chancellor Andy Williams.
Honors Program Scholarships continue to be offered to students accepted to the Honors Program at IU South Bend. Students with a 3.5 cumulative GPA (CGPA) or higher are eligible for this award. Students admitted to the Honors Program are automatically offered the scholarship, which has a total value of up to $2,000 over four years. Honors students are also eligible for one of the Titan scholarships below.
Beginning in the fall of 2025, incoming first-time freshmen can be awarded one of three Titan Scholarships with increased amounts. These scholarships recognize outstanding graduating high school seniors who are earning a high school diploma and plan to enroll as a full-time degree-seeking student:
Gold Award has been increased to a total value of up to $8,000 over four years to students with a GPA of 3.75 or higher;
Silver Award has been increased to a total value of up to $4,000 over four years to students with a GPA of 3.5 or higher and now is also offered to students with a High School Honors diploma and a GPA of 3.25 or higher;
Onsite Award has been increased to a total value of up to $3,000 over four years to students with a GPA of 3.0 or higher when students apply during a high school visit by IU South Bend admissions counselors.
There are also a variety of selective scholarships that IU South Bend continues to offer which support outstanding high school seniors who have a minimum CGPA of 3.5. Other scholarships on campus have varying requirements, but all incoming students are encouraged to apply.
The scholarship opportunities are not just for incoming freshmen. IU South Bend is offering the new Titan Transfers Scholarship for students who are Indiana residents, enrolling in a full-time in-person degree, and transferring to IU South Bend with qualifying transfer credits and CGPA. The Titan Transfers Scholarship has a total value of up to $3,000 for up to three years. Students must maintain a minimum 2.8 CGPA, enroll full-time each fall and spring term and complete 24 credit hours each year toward their degree.
IU South Bend offers more than 100 degree options in the Ernestine M. Raclin School of the Arts, School of Humanities and Social Sciences, School of Natural Sciences, Judd Leighton School of Business and Economics, School of Education, School of Social Work and Vera Z. Dwyer School of Health Sciences.
“More than 70 percent of our students receive some sort of scholarship or financial aid which helps make IU South Bend an attainable destination to gain a valuable IU degree,” said Executive Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Jill Pearon.
