CARTERVILLE, Ill., (KBSI) — John A. Logan College (JALC) is introducing the Promise Scholarship Program, a new initiative aimed at supporting in-district high school students.
Starting in fall 2026, eligible students who meet program requirements can attend JALC at no cost after financial aid and other scholarships are applied.
To qualify, students must enroll in the program as freshmen, maintain a 2.0 GPA and 90% attendance, complete four years of math, take six credit hours of dual credit or early college courses, and complete JALC’s College 101 course.
“This program is more than just financial support; it’s an investment in our students’ futures,” said Dr. Kirk Overstreet, JALC president.
