The Johnson County School Board recently considered approving a Resolution to transfer funds to establish the Paul Holkup Scholarship Fund.
According to the Resolution, in 2017 the district received a $10,000 donation to establish the scholarship fund for the purpose of supporting post-secondary education opportunities for graduating students.
Since the establishment of the fund, seven $500 scholarships in have been
awarded, for a total of $3,500 disbursed to date.
The remaining balance of the donation has been maintained within a Special Revenue Fund and the board voted to transfer the remaining balance to establish the Paul Holkup Scholarship Fund for future disbursement in support of post-
secondary educational opportunities for eligible graduates.
The board approved the resolution as part of their Consent Agenda.
