JERSEY CITY, NJ — Students benefiting from the Archdiocese of Newark’s “We Are Living Stones” Catholic Tuition Assistance Program shared their gratitude this holiday season by creating Thanksgiving cards for Cardinal Joseph W. Tobin, archbishop of Newark.
The K-8 students, whose families received $1,500 in partial tuition assistance to attend archdiocesan Catholic schools in Newark, Jersey City, East Orange, Union, and Fairview, decorated their colorful cards with Thanksgiving and fall-themed drawings. Each one included a handwritten note of appreciation for their scholarship.
Many students shared personal reflections on their experiences at school, while others offered warm wishes to Cardinal Tobin for a blessed holiday.
