The Junior League of Elizabeth-Plainfield (JLEP) is currently accepting applications for 2025 scholarship awards.
The JLEP will award three $4,000 scholarships to college-bound women who reside in Union County and demonstrate a passion for volunteerism. The organization believes that volunteerism is a vital force in the community and wants to support young women who share this passion by providing financial assistance for their college education.
To be considered for a scholarship, applicants must complete an application form, write a 300-to-400-word essay about their volunteer experiences, and provide two letters of recommendation.
The application deadline is April 4 and the scholarships will be formally presented to the recipients at the JLEP’s Annual Dinner on May 21. The JLEP is a chapter of the Association of Junior Leagues International Inc. and is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.
