The Kent Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation and Civic Trust, will host a local competition for the National Civics Bee on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Kent-Meridian High School.
Middle school students will gather from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the East Wing Auditorium to showcase their knowledge of civic issues, demonstrate leadership, and engage with community members.
The event will include essay presentations from finalists and an interactive civics challenge, where students will participate in a live question-and-answer session covering civic concepts and current events.
“This competition celebrates the future leaders in our community while inspiring everyone to engage in civic life,” organizers said. “Come cheer on these incredible students and support the spirit of civic engagement!”
The event is free and open to the public, offering opportunities for networking with local leaders, educators, and civic advocates.
