WAILUA — The Kauai High School Foundation distributed $108,000 in scholarships to 38 students celebrating graduation on May 23 at the Vidinha Stadium soccer fields.
WAILUA — The Kauai High School Foundation distributed $108,000 in scholarships to 38 students celebrating graduation on May 23 at the Vidinha Stadium soccer fields.
According to Leland Tottori of the KHS Foundation, top scholarship honors were awarded to Lauryn Hashimoto and Andrew Sadamitsu, who were each presented with $10,000 scholarships from the Foundation at the school’s Senior Luau awards on Sunday at Smith’s Tropical Paradise.
EZ and Pauline Street of The EZ and Pauline Street Foundation, which contributed $30,000 to the KHS Foundation, were present to acknowledge the scholarship recipients.
Other major contributors to the KHS Foundation include Milton and Debbie Valera of the Class of 1960, who contributed $43,000, and Florence and Tad Yoshikawa of the Class of 1956, who chipped in $20,000.
