Kimberly-Clark Corporation (KMB) has announced the awarding of 30 Bright Futures scholarships to high school seniors across North America. These scholarships benefit the children of Kimberly-Clark employees and are part of a longstanding tradition now in its 33rd year, designed to support higher education aspirations among its community.
The Bright Futures scholarship provides a total grant of up to $20,000, distributed as $5,000 per year, to full-time students attending accredited colleges and universities. This year, the scholarship recipients maintained an impressive average GPA of 3.98, with future scholars set to attend prestigious institutions such as the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Wheaton College, Georgia Institute of Technology, and the University of Wisconsin.
Kimberly-Clark Foundation has been a significant contributor to educational opportunities, having awarded nearly $50 million to over 2,400 students since the inception of the program. Many past recipients have gone on to successful careers in fields such as medicine, education, the armed forces, and engineering.
Kurt Laufer, Interim President of Kimberly-Clark North America, expressed pride in supporting the educational journeys of such talented young individuals. "The Bright Futures scholarship program exemplifies our commitment to developing the next generation of leaders. These students have demonstrated exceptional dedication to their studies and communities, and we are proud to support their journey toward academic and professional success," Laufer stated.
