CHELAN – The Lake Chelan Golf Club, Ladies Division has announced the recipients of the 2024 Ladies Golf Club Scholarship. Danika Dietrich and Josie Garfoot, both student athletes from Chelan High School, have been awarded $2,600 and $2,400 scholarships, respectively.
The scholarships are awarded to two senior girls on the Chelan golf team who plan to further their education after high school or to student athletes if no golfers fulfill the application process. The selection is based on academic achievement, extra-curricular activities, and community involvement.
Danika Dietrich, daughter of Kevin and Melissa Dietrich, has maintained a 3.7 GPA while participating in several activities and multiple athletics throughout her high school career. She plans to attend Washington State University next fall, focusing on a Nursing degree.
Josie Garfoot, daughter of Brun and Mindy Garfoot, has maintained a 3.89 GPA while participating in various activities, including Volleyball, Tennis, Sand Volleyball, and Concert Band. She plans to attend Whitworth University next fall, pursuing a degree in Circulatory Nursing and Psychology.
