Lake Erie College launches new scholarship for Cuyahoga County students – Cleveland.com
PAINESVILLE, Ohio — Lake Erie College has announced a new scholarship program aimed at making higher education more affordable for Cuyahoga County students.
The Cuyahoga Connect Scholarship offers a flat tuition rate of $7,500 per semester — or $15,000 per year — for new full-time students from the county. The rate is locked in for four years to help ensure affordability throughout a student’s degree program, according to the college.
“The Cuyahoga Connect Scholarship reflects our commitment to expanding access to higher education for local students,” said Lake Erie College President Jennifer N. Schuller. “We’re proud to invest in the future of Cuyahoga County graduates and help them stay connected to opportunity right here in Northeast Ohio.”
The funds will go directly toward tuition and fees, allowing students to focus on their studies without added financial pressure. Students who choose to live on campus or participate in athletics will face additional costs.
Lake Erie College, located in Painesville, offers programs in business, education and STEM fields, along with NCAA Division II athletic teams.
