lakeside logoEdward Rauch, a proud member of the Lakeside High School Class of 2025, has been awarded a National Merit Scholarship sponsored by a U.S. college or university.
The National Merit Scholarship Corporation announced on June 4 that Edward is one of more than 2,900 remarkable students nationwide to receive this distinguished honor. His journey began in September 2024 when he was named a semifinalist, and his hard work and academic excellence have now earned him this incredible scholarship opportunity.
Colleges sponsoring these scholarships handpick recipients from the elite pool of National Merit Finalists who have committed to attending their institutions. Edward’s award will provide between $500 and $2,000 annually for up to four years of undergraduate study. This year’s scholarships are being sponsored by 146 colleges and universities across the country, including both public and private institutions in 42 states and Washington, D.C.
