ROCHESTER, Minn. — The second annual Lance Pfrimmer Memorial Run is scheduled for August 9 at Eagles Aerie #2228.
The event will feature an 8K run and a 1-mile walk.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Lance Pfrimmer Memorial Scholarship Fund. This scholarship supports students who participated in track and field or cross country in high school, with a preference for those continuing the sport in college.
The run was established to honor Lance Pfrimmer, who passed away in a drowning accident in July 2023, just shy of his 20th birthday. The event aims to celebrate his legacy of sportsmanship and positivity as a standout on the Mayo High School cross-country team. 
Last year’s event raised $21,776, and organizers hope to match or exceed that amount this year. Participants can look forward to post-run refreshments, entertainment, a silent auction, and a raffle.
