LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) – The Laredo International Fair and Exposition (L.I.F.E.) is currently accepting applications from well-rounded high school seniors for its Scholarship Award Program.
L.I.F.E. board member Cynthia Mares, along with this year’s L.I.F.E. Queen and her court—Jocelyn Espinoza and Kaily Padilla—recently spoke with KGNS about the scholarship criteria.
Mares explained that two scholarships are available:

According to Mares, ideal candidates should demonstrate:
Last year, nearly 40 students applied, with over $80,000 awarded in scholarships. This year, the goal is to surpass that amount. Funds are raised throughout the year to support these scholarships.
The deadline to apply is March 31 at noon.
