Three Kauaʻi seniors representing Kapa‘a, Waimea and Kaua‘i high schools could be awarded $20,000 each in scholarship funds through the Grove Farm Scholarship.
The Grove Farm Scholarship grants a students who exemplifies academic excellence, citizenship, quality of character and community service. Scholars are required to complete ongoing community service work on an annual basis to maintain their scholarship. 
 
Scholarships are offered by the Grove Farm Foundation based on merit to students attending a 4-year university or college. Funds are valid for up to 4 years and are awarded each year prior to the fall academic term.
Applications are reviewed by each high school’s Scholarship Screening Committee and then forwarded to the Grove Farm Foundation Scholarship Selection Committee for final selection. Late or incomplete applications will not be reviewed.
The application deadline is Feb. 21.
Hawai‘i Pacific Health is also still accepting applications for the 2025 Health Careers Summer Internship, a 6-week paid internship open to high school juniors and seniors, as well as college students.
Since the program started in 2004, more than 1,100 students have received firsthand experience in health care.
“The Health Careers Summer Internship is a great opportunity for students to explore the vast and diverse world of health care. In addition to doctors and nurses, there are so many other professions that all come together to provide quality care to patients,” said Shanyn Kanemori, Hawai’i Pacific Health manager of workforce development and compliance. “This internship program allows students to learn more about these career pathways and get real-life experience.”
Accepted students will have a chance to intern at various Hawai‘i Pacific Health locations on Kaua‘i and O‘ahu, including Wilcox Medical Center and Kaua‘i Medical Clinic in Līhuʻe.
Patient and non-patient care internships are available. The program runs June 16 to July 24.
Applications are due by 3 p.m. Feb. 21. Students interested in the health care internships can apply online.
