Leadership Northwest Missouri has named Brayden Bell of Trenton High School and Paige Woods of Stanberry High School as recipients of its 2025 scholarships.
The program, now in its second year, awards two $1,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors in Northwest Missouri. One scholarship is designated for a student from Grundy County, where the annual Leadership Northwest Music Jam is held. The other is open to students across the 19-county Northwest Missouri region.
Funding for the scholarships comes from the Music Jam event, which highlights local performers and community support. Proceeds from the concert directly support the Leadership Northwest Missouri scholarship fund.
Bell will attend North Central Missouri College and pursue an Associate in Arts – Transfer degree. Woods plans to study elementary education at Northwest Missouri State University.
“Brayden and Paige stood out through their academic accomplishments, leadership, and service to their communities,” said Jenna Stevens, a member of the Music Jam Committee. “We’re proud to support their goals.”
Leadership Northwest Missouri offered congratulations to both recipients and expressed support for their continued success.
The fifth annual Leadership Northwest Music Jam is scheduled for Saturday, August 30, at Black Silo Winery in Trenton, Missouri, during Trenton’s Alumni Weekend. Sponsored by Wright Memorial Hospital and Hedrick Medical Center, the 2025 event will feature country artist Ryan Griffin, returning after a 2022 performance. Additional performers include Charlie Bacon, Salem Croy, Sam Gibson, Makayla Mejia, and Travis Mullenix. All artists will appear together for the first time.
Proceeds from the 2025 concert will fund next year’s scholarships. Tickets are available through the Eventbrite website.
