MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) – A local Boys & Girls Club kid was named a finalist for a $5,000 scholarship for their creation of artwork for a national mobile phone case contest.
Cox Mobile and Boys & Girls Clubs of America announced the addition of the Cox Mobile Fan Favorite Contest to their Mobile Phone Case Design Contest.
Representing Kansas and the Manhattan Boys & Girls Club is Marlon. Marlon’s design features a bold black background with hands representing different cultures and people reaching together to change the world.
Marlon said, “It doesn’t matter who you are or where you come from; with dedication, hard work, and perseverance, you have the power to achieve all of your goals.”  
Individuals nationwide can vote for their favorite phone case design as the Cox Mobile Fan Favorite starting today, March 28. The winning artist will receive a $5,000 Cox Mobile scholarship.  
Every vote helps showcase the creativity and talent within the community while supporting Boys & Girls Clubs of America nationwide. 
“Our partnership with Cox Mobile has made a lasting impact on the kids and teens we serve,” said Brady Armstrong, Development Director for Boys & Girls Club of Manhattan. “Opportunities like the Cox Mobile Phone Case Design Contest and Cox Mobile Fan Favorite Contest not only inspire creativity but also show our Club members that their talents and ideas are valued.”
