A recent graduate of Immokalee High School sponsored by the Marco Island chapter of P.E.O. International has won a $3,000 college scholarship.
Rosangel Hinojosa was awarded a Florida P.E.O. Scholarship, designed for girls who are legal residents of Florida and planning a course of study leading to an associate or bachelor’s degree at a Florida college or university. The scholarship is funded entirely by contributions from P.E.O. chapters in Florida and is renewable for a second year.
Rosangel will attend Florida Gulf Coast Univ. in Ft. Myers and pursue a degree in accounting. Her goal is to own and operate a bilingual accounting firm serving her hometown of Immokalee
P.E.O. Int’l supports higher education for women with scholarships, awards, grants and low-cost loans.
