EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WESTCONSIN CREDIT UNION PRESS RELEASE) – WESTconsin Credit Union, an advocate for education, has recently awarded 14 $1,000 scholarships to area high school seniors as part of the WESTconsin Scholarship Program. Scholarship recipients were selected based on a variety of factors, including academic achievement, school and community involvement, career aspirations, and personal goals. Each award is a recognition of their hard work and a step forward in their pursuit of higher education.

Since 1995, WESTconsin has proudly awarded nearly $368,000 in scholarships to students across the region to give back to the communities we serve and invest in the bright future of our young members. Scholarships are awarded annually to youth members from communities served by WESTconsin offices.
For incoming seniors of the 2025-2026 graduating class to be eligible for the scholarship next year, they must be a primary account holder at WESTconsin by August 31, 2025.
WESTconsin Credit Union has been serving members since 1939, and membership is open to anyone who lives or works in the Wisconsin counties of Barron, Buffalo, Burnett, Chippewa, Clark, Dunn, Eau Claire, Jackson, Pepin, Pierce, Polk, Rusk, St. Croix, Sawyer, Taylor, Trempealeau, and Washburn, or the Minnesota counties of Anoka, Chisago, Dakota, Goodhue, Hennepin, Isanti, Pine, Ramsey, Scott, Wabasha, and Washington, with a $5 minimum deposit in a Membership Savings Account. Credit unions are financial institutions owned by their accountholders, and member funds are federally insured by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) up to at least $250,000.
