NEW PHILADELPHIA − The Dover-New Philadelphia Kiwanis Club recently awarded 27 scholarships of $500 each to local students, for a total of $13,500, according to an announcement.
Twenty-five of the scholarships are from The Dover-New Philadelphia Kiwanis Club scholarship and two additional scholarships of $500 each are from The Rancie Titley Memorial Scholarship.
Recipients of The Rancie Titley Memorial Scholarship for the 2025-2026 school year are:
● Hannah Levengood of New Philadelphia, daughter of John and Stephanie Levengood, a senior at Kent State University with a major in art education.
● Elizabeth VanArsdalen of New Philadelphia, daughter of Rich and Kelly VanArsdalen, a sophomore at Mount Vernon Nazarene University with a major in marketing and graphic design.
The winners of the Kiwanis Scholarship for the 2025-2026 school year are:
● Aleia Alsept of New Philadelphia, daughter of Bob and Lisa Alsept, a senior at The Ohio State University with a major in accounting.
● Alexa Alsept of New Philadelphia, daughter of Bob and Lisa Alsept, a sophomore at The Ohio State University with a major in actuarial science.
● Lucas Andrews of New Philadelphia, son of Rick and Erica Andrews, a senior at University of Central Florida with a major in history.
● Jazalynn Barker or New Philadelphia, daughter of Harry and Carla Barker, a senior at Kent State University at Tuscarawas with a major in history.
● Simone Basiletti of Dover, daughter of Matt and Kathy Basiletti, a senior at Kent State University with a major in speech pathology.
● Elliot Brady of Mineral City, son of Kip and Jody Brady, a sophomore at Wright State University with a major in biomedical engineering.
● Owen Brady of Mineral City, son of Kip and Jody Brady, a senior at Youngstown State University with a major in biology.
● Shawn Conrad of Dover, son of Chad and Janet Conrad, a junior at Kent State University at Tuscarawas with a major in engineering.
● Alina Cotlet of Dover, daughter of Mihai and Tabita Cotlet, a 2025 graduate of Dover High School, who will be a freshman at Malone University with a major in nursing.
● Aine Donley of New Philadelphia, daughter of Patrick and Laurie Donley, a senior at Kent State University with a major in fashion design.
● Rebekah Dorris of Dover, daughter of Greg Dorris and Elizabeth Alexander, a sophomore at Cedarville University with a major in nursing.
● Lilianna George of Dover, daughter of Theodore and Nancy George, a senior at Washington and Jefferson College with a major in psychology.
● Jacob Hanner of Dover, son of Brian Hanner and Anne Geib Dorris, a sophomore at the University of Alabama with a major in psychology.
● Sophie Johnson of New Philadelphia, daughter of Jeremy and Jennifer Johnson, a 2025 graduate of New Philadelphia High School, who will be a freshman at Kent State University at Tuscarawas with a major in psychology.
● Adeline Kendle of New Philadelphia, daughter of Todd and Christine Kendle, a junior at the University of Findlay with a major in animal science/pre-vet.
● Allison Kendle of New Philadelphia, daughter of Todd and Christine Kendle, a 2025 graduate of New Philadelphia High School, who will be a freshman at The Ohio State University with a major in food science and technology.

● Ethan Morris of New Philadelphia, son of Troy and Leslie Morris, a senior at Kent State University with a major in computer science, minor in web development.
● Owen Prosser of Dover, son of Darren Prosser and Mandy Willett, a junior at Ohio University with a major in accounting.
● Amelia Spidell of Strasburg, daughter of Tom and Veronica Spidell, a sophomore at Kent State University at Stark with a major in middle childhood education.
