GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV)- Four Harrison County seniors are being honored for their service to the community.
Gulfport seniors Kaitlyn Juraszek and Sophie Rollins received their scholarships from the Rotary Club. Kaitlyn will be attending the University of Alabama and will be studying in the healthcare field. Sophie is currently attending MGCCC and later plans to attend Texas A&M University to study healthcare.
Gulfport High’s Jackson Pearce and St. Patrick Catholic High’s Shayleen Moeini are the recipients of the Butch Oustalet’s Scholarships. Jackson will be attending the University of Alabama and studying engineering. Shayleen is currently taking classes at William Carey University and University of Mississippi and will attend Columbia University in New York City to study healthcare.
All four were invited to today’s rotary club meeting.
In total, $20,000 in scholarships were given to the four students. Butch Oustalet also gives a portion of the scholarship money. He thanks the Rotary Club for inviting him to the announcement ceremony.
