Six local students were awarded $1,000 scholarships to pursue their career in various trades.
Six students were recently named recipients of J. Patrick Twa scholarships, which support students in skilled trades at the Ottawa Area Tech Center.
Each $1,000 scholarship allows students to purchase tools they need in their respective trade.
