As one of the oldest Holiday Basketball Tournaments winds down, two individuals are awarded scholarships in honor of an area teen who lost his life in a traffic crash 10 years ago.
Ozarks First reports that this year’s winners of the Logan Middleton Scholarships are Atticus Brandes of Fair Grove, and Cameron Whitener of Aurora. The scholarship was started after Logan, a post MVP of the Greenwood Blue and Gold Tournament and the son of longtime Branson Entertainer Splinter Middleton, lost his life in a traffic accident.
Several individuals pooled their resources and now award a scholarship in his name, going to individuals who display the sportsmanship Logan did during his life.
The full story can be found on the Ozarks First Website.
