Thanks to the generous support of alumni donors, the Los Alamos Association of Phi Beta Kappa is pleased to announce $1000 scholarship awards to Isabella Blair, Hyunoo Kim, and Uxue Sansinena, 2025 graduates of Los Alamos High School.
Isabella Blair will attend Fordham University NY in the Rose Hill Honors Program, majoring in political science with plans to pursue a career in law. Hyunoo Kim will be attending the US Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. Uxue Sansinena will attend Columbia University NY as a John Jay Scholar and plans to major in international relations with plans to pursue a career in law.
Phi Beta Kappa was founded in 1776 to acknowledge and honor the pursuit of academic excellence in the arts and sciences. Chapters are based on college campuses, and there are 50 alumni associations across the country. The Los Alamos Phi Beta Kappa Association has been awarding scholarships to members of each Los Alamos High School graduating class since 1957, supported by generous donations from local Phi Beta Kappa members.
