A family-run foundation is helping local youth achieve their dreams in memory of their daughter.
The third annual Love of Life Festival, sponsored by the Kathryn Leigh Thurgaland Foundation, will be held from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. May 11 at 3400 NW 95th Avenue Road in Ocala.
The foundation is dedicated to the memory of Kathryn Leigh Thurgaland, a VHS graduate of the class of 2020, who was killed in a car crash at age 18 on Oct. 10, 2020, while she was home from college.
