Loyal Ladies Extension Homemakers Club of Garland County awarded scholarships to two nursing students at the National Park College at their Nursing and Health Science Honors Day in April.
Sheila Hinton, who is studying to be a registered nurse, and Takira Honey, who is the LPN program, were awarded a $500 scholarships. Kay Bradford chaired the Scholarship Committee with the assistance of Bert Manning, Joy Ann Miles, Jean Wood and Jeri Beliveau.
The EHC club has several garage sales throughout the year to raise money for the nursing program. They also give a nursing scholarship to a 4-H student each year.
