The Lutheran Dartball League wrapped up the 2023 24 season and gave out their scholarships for this season.
Lutheran Dartball Scholarships
In the fall of 1995 the LDL had enjoyed 43 years of good Christian fellowship. As a way to pay-it-forward the league decided to give an annual $500 to a member of one of the churches in the league. Jennifer Nigg from Immanuel Lutheran was the recipient of the first scholarship in 1996.
In 2002 after many years of planning Trinity Lutheran High School became a reality. The league voted to add a $250 scholarship to a student attending Trinity. Joshua Burbrink was the first winner of the trinity scholarship. After 2010 the scholarship program was discontinued.
Last fall the league voted to renew our scholarship program with two awarded each year. This year we received 19 applications and the judges were Rev. Ryan Schneider of St. Peter’s, Rev. Will Fredstrom of Immanuel and Clayton Darlage, Principal at Trinity Lutheran High School.
The league has now given $10,500 in scholarships.
