STATEWIDE — According to maine.gov, heavy and tractor-trailer truck drivers are one of the most high-wage and in-demand jobs in Maine, and, right now, Maine Better Transportation is offering a scholarship for students studying that field and many more.
Maine Better Transportation says it’s offering scholarships ranging from $500 to $3,500 for students pursuing careers in the trades, engineering, construction management, aviation, marine, rail, heavy equipment operations, and diesel mechanics.
Applications for this year must be submitted by August 1st.
