MANSFIELD, Pa. – The Mansfield Alumni Association Board of Directors has announced the 2025 recipients of the Commonwealth University – Mansfield Alumni Legacy Scholarship. The scholarship was awarded to current CU-Mansfield students Paige Gumaer and Katelyn Sherwood.
The Alumni Legacy Scholarship preserves Mansfield’s legacy by supporting academically gifted students with close family ties to Mansfield graduates. Recipients are awarded a $1,000 scholarship in the spring semester.
Gumaer is a junior from Sayre, Pa. majoring in English. Her mother, Lucinda Glover Gumaer ‘01, inspired her to follow in her footsteps and pursue her passions at Mansfield.
Sherwood is a freshman from New Milford, Pa. studying Secondary Education. She is eager to continue the family tradition of her mother, Charlotte Fiske Sherwood ’90, while contributing to the university community.
“Congratulations to the Gumaer and the Sherwood families,” said Dave Donlick, Director of Alumni Engagement at Mansfield. “Their dedication and connection to Mansfield exemplify the spirit of the Alumni Legacy Scholarship.”
