“Why you were born and why you are living depends on what you are getting out of this world and what you are giving.”
That is the motto of the Marco Island Woman’s Club (MIWC), a network of socially conscious women committed to supporting and improving our local community. Each year MIWC brings that message to life by awarding scholarships to students who are residents of Marco Island.
In May, we will be awarding scholarships to several graduating high school seniors. In addition to that, through the generosity of the Matthews Charitable Giving Fund, we are blessed with the opportunity to award four renewable scholarships as well. Les and Katy Matthews have been generous supporters of the MIWC Education Foundation in honor of their grandmother, Betty Cioffi, a member of the Marco Island Woman’s Club who passed away September 6, 2023. The renewable scholarships will assist college students who were previous MIWC scholarship awardees as graduating high school seniors and have now attained a 3.0 or higher GPA at an accredited college.

The additional scholarships for graduating high school seniors will be announced in May as our recipients will be honored at the annual MIWC Scholarship Luncheon at the Island Country Club.
