Matthew Rosenberg, a junior and the Varsity Cross Country Captain at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, is back for his second season leading the Off-Season Running and Conditioning Clinic.
Along with his assistant coach, Nick Rosenberg, a Little League all-star player and umpire, Matthew’s goal is to help kids stay active and prepare for the upcoming baseball season while raising funds for a worthy cause.
Last year, the clinic raised over $1,500 toward a Little League scholarship fund. This fund helps children who may not have the financial resources to participate in baseball, ensuring they have an opportunity to play. With the hopes of raising even more funds this season, Matthew has also written a children’s book titled The Forgotten Shoes, with all proceeds from the book going to the same scholarship fund.
“I am very excited that my clinic was so successful last year and that Parkland Little League is giving me the opportunity to continue my goal of helping kids stay active, in shape, and ready for their upcoming baseball season while raising money for kids who otherwise would not be able to play baseball,” said Matthew.
The clinic, open to children ages 5-10, takes place on Saturdays through February 1st. Sessions are split into Ages 5-7 (9 a.m. to 10 a.m.) and 8-10 (10 a.m. to 11 a.m.). Families can register for as few or as many sessions as they wish, and the clinic is open to both boys and girls.

To register, visit the clinic’s official website at www.parklandrunningclinic.com.
