POINT PLEASANT, W.Va. (WV News) — The Mason County Community Foundation has announced the successful conclusion of its 2025 Scholarship Grant cycle, awarding more than $57,000 in scholarships to students in Mason County.
Executive Director Stephani Vealey stated, “The Mason County Community Foundation, with support from the Gordon C & Mildred R Jackson Foundation, remains focused on providing educational support to deserving students in Mason County.”
“This year’s awards totaled over $57,000 in scholarships. We’ve been fortunate to award over $479,000 since the start of our program in 2016, underscoring our commitment to fostering education and opportunities within Mason County.
“This year marked a significant milestone, as we received the highest number of applicants to date. To further enhance the scholarship process, the Foundation has invested in a new scholarship software application designed to streamline both the application and review processes.”
2025 scholarship recipients are:
Hannan: Brooke Ashworth, Emma Deal, Gabrielle Jefferson.
Wahama: Annabell Woodall, Bailey Smith, Carson Gibbs, Elijah Rickard, Katharine Reynolds, Marissa Roush, Reagan Johnson, Zaylee Wood.
Point Pleasant: Addison Snyder, Addyson Stein, Arden Jeffrey, Avery Hesson, Bailey Snyder, Bella Tolliver, Breena Clutter, Brennan Sang, Conner Blessing, Conner Hatten, Cooper Tatterson, Elijah Lowery, Elizabeth Handley, Evan Roach, Grace Thompson, Grant Barton, Hannah Baker, Hannah Milhoan, Isabella Dickens, Jada Cossin, Jaidyn Patrick, Joseph “Alex” Shrader, Lauren Kincaid, Makensie Brown, Malea Bechtle, Mattilyn Fields, Natalee Fields, Olivia Fields, Pacey Frum, Reece Oliver, and Trenton Murphy.
As the Mason County Community Foundation continues to support local projects and students, it reinforces its mission to make a lasting impact in the community, ensuring a brighter future for all residents of Mason County, officials said.
