Next month marks the 25th anniversary of Massabesic's first state football championship. Members of the Mustang team reunite every five years to celebrate their historic season. Sadly, one key player, fullback Joey Olszewski, passed away in 2010 from a lung disease. A scholarship in his name was established but lost funding after COVID-19. Led by former head coach John Morin, the team is organizing a benefit to revive Joey's memorial scholarship, which will support a male and female student athlete from Massabesic. The team will gather this Saturday in Alfred to celebrate their championship season and honor Joey's life.
