Towerwall Inc., a Framingham-based cybersecurity firm, recently donated $7,500 to MassBay Community College for student scholarships, according to a community announcement.
The contribution is part of a 15-year partnership between the community college and Towerwall, which has raised more than $72,500 in all for scholarships.
The scholarships, awarded in $1,000 increments, have helped 38 students continue their education, according to the announcement. This latest donation will support an additional seven students.
“We are deeply grateful for Towerwall’s longstanding support of our institution and students,” said MassBay President David Podell, in a statement. “Their impact extends far beyond generous financial contributions they are a cornerstone of our annual Cyber Security Summit, create invaluable networking and learning opportunities for IT professionals, and provide internships that give our students the real-world experience essential to launching successful careers.”
The annual Cybersecurity Summit, hosted by Towerwall and MassBay, takes place from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 22, at MassBay’s main campus, 50 Oakland St., Wellesley Hills, according to the announcement. It offers IT professionals a chance to learn about the latest trends and network with industry experts.
