MemoryLane Care Services is launching a scholarship program for Bowling Green Adult Day Center.
Through a grant from the Administration for Community Living, MemoryLane Care Services will offer a limited number of scholarships enabling older adults, including those with memory loss, to attend its Adult Day Center in Bowling Green. The scholarships are open to new participants.
The adult day program provides care and support for older adults needing assistance and supervision during the day.
“Our participants enjoy structured activities that encourage social interaction and engage the mind, healthy meals, snacks, and light exercise. We also bring in local musical talent and animal programs to provide music and pet therapies,” said Izzy Alaniz, director of the Adult Day Center.
In addition to the benefits attending the Adult Day Center provides to participants, family caregivers receive a needed break from their caregiving duties. Caregivers then can work or attend to their own needs.
“The scholarships will allow new participants to attend our adult day program to see if it’s a good fit for them and their needs,” said Salli Bollin, president and CEO of MemoryLane Care Services.
