Meoli Companies McDonald’s Restaurants recently awarded $5,000 in scholarships to eight Delaware Technical Community College students studying business or nursing at the Jack F. Owens Campus in Georgetown and the Charles L. Terry Jr. Campus in Dover.
The scholarships were presented to non-traditional students returning to college to complete a degree/diploma or entering college years after graduating from high school. Students must also demonstrate a commitment to furthering their education by exhibiting scholastic achievement and community service.
Scholarship recipients were Owens Campus nursing students Kylie Arndt, Amber Connell, Alysha Hall and Jelissa Lucas, along with Terry Campus nursing students Caroline Cottam and Jasnae Quiovers, business management student Martisha Allen, and general business student Deborah Moore.
“I want to thank Meoli Companies McDonald’s Restaurants for accepting me as one of the recipients for this scholarship,” said Hall. “This allowed me to stress less about the financial burden and focus more on my nursing studies.”
Meoli Companies McDonald’s Restaurants owns and operates 36 McDonald’s restaurants across Delaware, Maryland and Virginia.
