Meredith invites prospective first-year students to apply for the Full-Ride Scholarship. Each year, the College awards Full-Ride Scholarships to a cohort of first-year students based on academic achievement, leadership, service, and character.
As the highest honor of achievement available for first-year students, each scholarship has an estimated value of $230,000 over four years. The prestigious scholarship covers the entire cost of attendance and includes 
To apply, students should submit a Full-Ride Scholarship application as well as their resume, an essay, and two recommendations. Students must meet the following criteria to be considered
Applicants who are selected to move forward in the process will be invited to attend Scholars’ Day on February 8, 2025, to interview with faculty, administrators, and the President of the College. Students are encouraged to submit their scholarship application, as well as their admissions application, by January 6. Scholarship recipients will be notified by mid-March.
The Full-Ride Merit Scholarship, originally known as the Alumnae Legacy Scholarship, was created by those who best know the power of a Meredith education – alumnae. Ione Kemp Knight, ’43, and Elizabeth Triplett Beam, ’72, began the campaign to secure Meredith’s academic legacy through the creation of a prestigious scholarship.
The scholarship has attracted highly qualified students who thrived at Meredith and have gone on to successful careers in dentistry, law, communication, scientific research, education, and more.
