The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment for scholarships for Disabled students
Eligibility- Candidates with 40% or more disability pursuing Graduation courses / Post graduation courses / Professional courses, Other courses approved by UGC/Government/AICTE etc. Benefits- Maximum INR 10.00 lacs for study in India and maximum INR 20.00 lacs for abroad studies.
Scholarship will be provided to all categories of disabled persons defined earlier for pursuing general, technical and professional education from 9th class onwards. Educational requirements : A disabled candidate will be eligible for the award of Scholarship for study from Ninth Standard onwards.

Merit cum Poverty scholarship, Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India
The objective of the scheme is to award scholarships to meritorious students of economically weaker sections to class VIII and encourage them to continue their studies at the secondary stage. Scholarship of Rs. 12000/- per annum (Rs.1000/- per month) per student is awarded by the Ministry of Human Resource Development to selected students every year for study in classes from IX to XII Students studying in recognized Govt / Govt Aided/Local Body/Corporate School.
The awardees should get minimum of 60% marks in Class X for continuation of scholarship (relaxable by 5% for SC/ST candidates) in next higher classes. For continuing the scholarship in class X and XII, the awardees should get clear promotion form class IX to class X and from class XI to class XII in the first attempt.
The students shall have a minimum of 55 % marks or an equivalent grade in the Class VII examination for appearing in the selection test for the award of scholarship (relaxable by 5% for SC/ST students). The students should be studying as regular students in Government, Government-aided, and local body schools.
