McIntosh High senior Leo Gil is the recipient of an $800 Atlanta Youth Wind Symphony (AYWS) scholarship.
Gil, a trombone player, was previously selected as a member of the AYWS, earning 2nd chair in the prestigious group. The scholarship will cover his membership dues for the organization.
McIntosh Director of Bands Barbara Baker praised Gil for the accomplishment.
“Leo is considered one of the top trombonists in the state of Georgia, and we are very proud of his continued hard work.”
