Sevier County Partners in Progress Education Foundation named Kyler Milam the Janice Bettis Scholarship recipient.
Milam graduated from Northview Senior Academy in Kodak in 2022. Afterwards, he attended Walters State community college to get his physical therapist assistant license and associates degree in applied science. Kyler graduated from Walters State in May of 2025.
Kyler works in a physical therapy clinic in Knoxville, while attending ETSU online to get his bachelor’s degree in Allied Health Leadership with an ultimate goal of becoming a full-time physical therapist.
The Janice Bettis Scholarship is awarded to a student in a medical field at ETSU Sevierville with financial assistance to cover remaining costs, including tuition, books, lab fees, uniforms, etc.
Janice Bettis was the longtime director of Sevier County Partners in Progress Education Foundation until her retirement earlier this year.
