RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – At the end of June, a new Miss Nevada and Miss Nevada’s Teen will be crowned. However, even those who do not take home the top title have the opportunity to win scholarship money for higher education. This weekend, the Miss Nevada Scholarship Organization is hosting a Stepping into Scholarships fundraiser to help fund these young, ambitious women’s dreams.
Executive director, Jillian Helget stopped by Morning Break to invite the community to the scholarship fundraiser. Stepping into Scholarships is a intimate and fun cocktail party Saturday, March 22 at 6 p.m. at The Paloma. Jenny O will perform and guests are encouraged to dress to match the silver and blue theme.
Then on Sunday, everyone is invited for a meet and greet plus fashion show featuring this year’s delagates. The event is from 1-3 p.m. at the Reno Public Market with autograph signing afterwards. Follow them on Facebook and Instagram to learn more.
