The 2025 Miss Ouachita Baptist University Scholarship Competition is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 1, at 7 p.m. at Jones Performing Arts Center.
Tickets are $12 or $7 for students, and can be purchased at obu.edu/boxoffice.
Eight contestants will compete in the upcoming pageant.
Bailey Gibson, a Business Finance graduate from Hot Springs, Arkansas is the reigning Miss OBU and will be giving up her title to one of the following young ladies on Saturday, Feb. 1st at 7:00 pm in Jones Performing Arts Center. Over $4,000.00 in scholarships will be awarded and the winner will compete at the Miss Arkansas Scholarship Competition June 7th-14th in Little Rock at the Robinson Center Performance Hall.
Olivia Taylor is a junior Business Entrepreneurship major from Benton, Arkansas. She is the daughter of Andreina Lee and Donald Taylor. She is sponsored by the Women of Chi Mu and her Community Service Initiative is Invest for Success. Her talent will be a vocal performance of A Million Dreams from The Greatest Showman.
Madilyn Davis is a junior Biology major from Perryville, Arkansas. She is the daughter of Brandon and Rhonda Cook. Davis is sponsored by the OBU Carl Goodson Honors Program and her Community Service Initiative is STEM Ignition: Empowering Middle and High School Students to Explore the Sciences. Her talent will be a piano performance of Billy Joel’s Vienna.
Diana Taylor is a junior History and Political Science major from Benton, Arkansas. She is the daughter of Andreina Lee and Donald Taylor. She is sponsored by the OBU Sutton School of Social Sciences and her Community Service Initiative is Beyond the Uniform: Empowering Veterans. Taylor’s talent will be a vocal performance of I’m Not That Girl from the hit Broadway musical Wicked.
Ava Weeks is a sophomore secondary English education major from Conway, Arkansas. She is the daughter of Jeff Weeks and April Cook. Weeks is sponsored by the Women of EEE and her Community Service Initiative is Buckle Up Back Seat. Her talent is a vocal performance of Climb Every Mountain from The Sound of Music.
Kidron Romoser is a sophomore Communications Sciences and Disorders major from Rogers, Arkansas. She is the daughter of Matthew and Florina Romoser. She is sponsored by the Women of Tri Chi and her Community Service Initiative is Voices of Change. Her talent is a vocal performance Monster from the Broadway musical Frozen.
Amy Garcia is a freshman Psychology major from Hamburg, Arkansas. She is the daughter of Pedro Garcia and Marcelina Bedolla. Garcia is sponsored by the OBU Women’s Basketball Team and her Community Service Initiative is It’s Okay to Speak Up: A Fight Against Substance Abuse. Her talent will be a vocal performance of Mariposa de Barrio (neighborhood butterfly).
Lydia Crow is a sophomore Business Entrepreneurship major from Conway, Arkansas. She is the daughter of Zac and Tiffeny Crow. She is sponsored by the OBU Tiger Dance Team and her Community Service Initiative is The Power of Positive Words. Her talent will be a dance performance to the Michael Jackson song Smooth Criminal.
Avery Smith is a sophomore Business Administration major from Conway, Arkansas. She is the daughter of Drs. Scott and Melanie Smith. She is sponsored by the Hickingbotham School of Business and her Community Service Initiative is Building Character Through Chores. Her talent will be a vocal performance of On My Own from the Broadway musical Les Miserables.
