(PRESS RELEASE) The MJSA Education Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit supporting career and training initiatives throughout the jewelry industry, has awarded “Future of Jewelry Making” scholarships to four aspiring jewelers. Each of the students received $2,250 to help them turn their passion for jewelry making and design into rewarding careers.
“The drive, dedication, and talent of these students show that the future of jewelry making and design rests in good hands,” said Rich Youmans, executive director of the MJSA Education Foundation. “All presented a true desire to develop their skills, hone their creativity, and pursue excellence. We’re very pleased to be able to help them take the next steps in their education and along their paths toward becoming professional jewelers.”

Hunter Seymour of Hunter’s Fine Jewelry in Rutland Vermont had ambitious plans for his business closure sale. After deciding to relocate to pursue new opportunities in a larger city, Seymour needed to liquidate his inventory from the store he’d built since 2019. Initially skeptical of Wilkerson’s projections, Seymour and his father “didn’t believe it” when they first saw the numbers. “We didn’t think it would be right,” Seymour admits. But trusting the process proved transformative. “We have killed the numbers. We met our top tier goal a week and a half ago.” What impressed Seymour most was Wilkerson’s comprehensive approach. “The whole process is seamless from start to finish. You’re not left in the dark on anything,” he explains. From the initial consultation with Rick through the arrival of on-site consultants, everything was handled professionally. “Once our consultants arrived, they had a plan, they knew everything that they were going to do, and I was sort of able to just take a back seat.”
